3 Week Check-up

Hatcher went to the pediatrician yesterday for his 3 week check-up. He is a mighty healthy boy!


He has gained 17 ounces in 16 days and he grew 3/4ths of an inch since he was born. The pediatrician said that on average babies gain between 1/2 ounce and 1 ounce everyday, so Hatcher is right on track!


Here are his new statistics:
weight: 8 pounds, 7 ounces
length: 20 and 3/4 inches long


He is still such a sweet baby unless he gets hungry. He does want to eat very often though...every two hours. And he takes a good 40 minutes to eat, so it seems like as soon as he finishes eating and I get him burped and changed, then he is hungry again! Fun life with a newborn! :) He is such a blessing and we get a kick out of his little smiles and his big beautiful eyes staring at the wall and the ceiling fan. Such a cutie!

Hatcher made his arrival on December 27th at 1:58 p.m. at a healthy 7 pounds, 15 ounces and 20 inches long.Our first family picture with Hatcher.

Adjusting to life with a newborn has been quite a learning experience! My mom stayed at the house with us for a few days and helped out sooo much! Also, our Sunday school class has been bringing us amazing meals so we have not had to worry a bit about food. So nice! Hatcher is a sweet baby and already holds his head up well, looks around, and smiles! He is so fun to watch!
