Happy 3 Months Hatcher!!

we now have a sweet little 3 month old and he is full of smiles and cute chuckles! He lets out the sweetest little laugh when mommy blows on his belly and when daddy tosses him in the air and when mommy steals kisses from him on his playmat. It is so fun! He also LOVES his playmat and bats at and grabs his toys. He will play there for 30 minutes and kick his little legs and "talk" to all of his toys on the mat! He is getting alot better at making his hands go where he wants them to go, but he does grab things and then has no idea that they are still in his hands. The other morning, he just happened to grab his pacifier and he stuck it in his mouth! It was totally unintentional and so funny! He has definitely found his voice now too. He will just talk and talk and talk to us if he is in the mood. I love it!

He is also such a sweet baby when he wakes up in the morning. He is usually so happy and full of little laughs and squeals. But sometimes he is still a little sleepy. Here is a funny picture of Hatcher after he woke up from a nap one day...

Love the hair and the string of drool! :)

One of my best friends from high school, Tammy, had a baby less than 2 weeks after us and they got to come visit. Hatcher, my mom, and I got to have lunch with Tammy, baby Katelyn, and Tammy's mom, Brenda. We had a great time and tried to get some good pictures, but it is very difficult to get two little babies to smile at the same time!

and here is a cute cute picture of my mom (nana) playing with Hatcher...

We also had a great Easter celebrating our Savior! We went to my grandparents house in Chattanooga and had a great time with family. I'll show you some great pictures in the next post!

this and that

Hey guys! Well, we had a little birthday party at the house for Ben, complete with weinies -n- tators and a cookie cake from Hatcher. My parents and the Dewalds came and enjoyed the festivities with us. We even got to play a couple of games of Rummicub (and just a heads up, we are going to play this the next time I see you guys, Kate and Mary.) Here are a few pics...

Hatcher also had his 2 month check-up complete with 3 shots and an oral vaccine...no fun! He got so worked up from crying that he sweat his little bandaids off. :( poor little guy. He is a VERY healthy little guy though. My mom went with us to the appointment and we tried to guess how much he weighed. My mom guessed around 11-12 pounds and I was thinking he was more around the 11 pound mark. We put him on the scale and he weighed 14 pounds! I couldn't believe it! he was also 23 and 3/4ths inches long, so he has grown almost 4 inches since he was born.

We are taking advantage of this nice sunny weather by taking walks around the neighborhood. Hatcher loves being in his little Snugli carrier strapped to mommy. Here is a cute pic of him in his little toboggan...

Hatcher had his first trip out to Nana and Papa's this past weekend. He had a great time hanging out there and seeing puppy dogs for the first time! Here is a cute picture of Hatcher and Papa...
have a great weekend!

Hatcher says hey to everyone who reads this! He just had his first trip to the beach!
He did well on the long drive down there. He slept most of the time and only got really worked up twice, one time of which resulted in at least an hour long stop in Montgomery to calm, feed, burp, change and love on him some. Besides that, the trip went very smoothly. We borrowed my parent's car and we filled it up with baby stuff. It takes a lot to take a baby on a trip! Here is a picture from when we got back home, before we unloaded...Hatcher got totally spoiled by his granddaddy and grandmother. His granddaddy would walk and walk and walk with him until he fell asleep. Hatcher loved being a part of the action until he just passed out in his arms!
Our trip to the beach was sadly cut short when Ben's grandmother passed away on Saturday. We loved her so much and it is such a comfort to know that she knew the Lord and is in Heaven now. On the trip back, we stopped in Birmingham to spend the night before going to Bremen, where grandmother lived. We had some Arby's for supper and I noticed that "8 lb. bag" was printed on the bottom of the sack our food came in. Ben got the ingenious idea to put Hatcher in the bag and see if it really held 8 pounds. We were thoroughly impressed that it held our little ~10 lb. sack of potatoes. Here is a pic... :) haha!

Hatcher has now passed the two month mark and he is learning so much! He is so alert and observant of his surroundings and at the beach he started reaching out and hitting and trying to grab the toys on his playmat! so cool to see him learning! He stares very intently at his fist and then he goes in for the strike at the toy...so neat! Here is a pic of him playing at grandmother's house:
Well, that is about all for now! Ben had a birthday on Tuesday and we had a little party in Bremen with his family and then a little party at our house with family and friends. I'll try to post some cute pictures later of my dad with the Hatch. (when I get them off of my camera.) Thanks for stopping by!
