here is just a little preview of the early first birthday party we had with my parents and some friends here in town. We will be out of town on hatcher's actual birthday (the 27th).

Hatcher did really good with his cute monkey cake that i made! He just smiled at it and the candle on top while we sang to him. After I blew the candle out he just kinda stared at it and lightly touched it with his finger. So i got a little icing from the cake on my finger and gave him a taste. soon after that he started to touch it more. i wiggled one of the ears on the monkey and he decided he wanted to grab the ear and eat it. he was not shy with the cake after that point! i don't think he cared so much for his hands being covered in icing, but he was having a pretty good time with it! it took him a while to get into it, but he ended up really liking the birthday cake!

here is video (split into two videos for uploading purposes) from december 7 that shows hatcher walking, clapping, and knocking himself in the noggin with his toy! he pretty much decides to walk all the time now...very rarely will he crawl. it is so different to see him just walking off down the hall by himself. so many changes in the last year! enjoy!

Hatcher is Officially Walking!

well, he started taking his first steps just after he turned 10 months. now, at 11 months, he is choosing to walk alot! here is a cute short video of him, just so you can see him. we have better videos that i need to reduce in size, so maybe i'll get another one up soon so you can see him better! anyway, enjoy our little walker!
