smile at mommy :)
today we were outside washing the car and hatcher and ben were filling up this bucket of water and i was trying to get a good picture of them.
so ben asked hatcher, "can you smile at mommy?" and this is what he did...

cutest little boy
i know i am a bit biased...but is this not the cutest little boy?!?! 
just had to share a few of our latest pics from the duck park this past tuesday. the things he is up to most now are running, exploring, "driving" the car (climbing into the driver's seat and moving the steering wheel back and forth really fast), concentrating on a task such as plugging the headphone jack into the ipod (his coordination amazes me!), laying down in the tub and swimming and holding his breath and dunking his face under the water, repeating the word "purple" when he hears it, saying all kinds of stuff including nana, papa, daddy, cracker, pretzel (kind of), moo, puppy, bubbles, and signing please, all done, hungry, and more. he points at everything of interest to him and he babbles about it. 
he was carrying the key to the car the other day and he climbed in the car and tried to put it in the ignition! he is so smart! he still prays by putting his hands together but he never knows how long to hold them that way...we usually look up (or peek at him in the middle of the blessing and he is munching or he continues to hold his hands together after we say amen and he have to tell him we are all done praying :) he still winks when asked. oh and if we start singing "father abraham" he moves his arms wildly (like he is dancing) and moves his feet. we need to get this on video! he really just amazes us day by day at all he does and learns and copies. one day ben saw a bug, so he took off his flipflop and hit the bug with it. a little while later, we saw hatcher going around hitting the floor with ben's flipflop just like he saw his daddy do it! he is silly!
anyway, for those who don't know, we sold our house and we are temporarily living with my parents until ben finds a job. it was such a blessing that our house sold and now we are free to go wherever ben finds a job. also, we get to find out whether baby #2 is a little boy or a little girl in early june! so exciting!
