Our Closing is Tomorrow!

Just a quick update to let everyone know that our closing is set for tomorrow afternoon! we are excited and have tons to do over the next week with the movers and all. We should all three be officially in our new house next thursday night! We are so thankful that the Lord has blessed us with a job for Ben and this new home! Closing Date Change

just thought i would let you know that our closing date has been pushed out some, so we won't get in as soon as we thought. everything is still looking good though. we had our home inspection which only turned up a few minor things, so we are now just waiting on the official date. we had a great long weekend with ben here in new market. my mom cooked up all kinds of yummy food and we had fun just hanging out with my parents and some friends. here are a couple of fun pictures of hatcher "cooking" dirt and rocks...such a boy!!! i love it!

soon to be georgia residents

we are finally getting some details nailed down for our move to georgia, so i thought i would share them with you. We did find a house that is less than 10 minutes from ben's work, so that is awesome. it is 4 bedrooms with an unfinished basement and a good-size fenced backyard. It is in a great neighborhood that looks like it has some young families in it, so that is definitely a plus. we are looking at closing on the house on september 9th and officially having all of our stuff moved in by the 16th (unpacking and organizing will take some time though!) we are so excited about finally living together as a family again!! we have missed ben so much as he has been working hard to provide for our family! as jenny hancock can attest to, I have tons of pictures of the house, but they are of like every wall and not really good ones of the rooms as a whole, so I will have to post pictures of the house when I get some better ones. here are a few pictures of ben, hatcher, and I over the last month though...

Us Lately

hey guys! sorry for the long break between postings! i'll try to catch you up in this post with lots of fun pics of the hatch! he just turned one and a half years old and he is so much fun! ben and i counted up over 40 words that he says (an average goal is to have 50 words down when you turn 2 years old) and we can definitely attest to him being a little chatterbox! below is a picture of him from today when we were outside. he spends most of his time outside playing in rocks and dirt...such a little boy!! i spend most of my time outside with him holding all of the rocks he brings me (and the occassional flower that he will spot, pick, and bring to me!) :) i love this little guy so much! yesterday we went to some fountains in town and had a blast in the water with our friends aubrey, eli, and jennifer.this picture is just for ben, who misses being home with hatcher at night when we always go and peek at him before we go to bed. we are so thankful that the Lord blessed ben with a job and cannot wait until we get a house there and can all live together again!!on the weekends when ben comes to stay with us, the first thing hatcher asks for in the morning is the ipod (and yes, he does ask for it by name.) here he just made himself comfortable on the floor with his feet propped up as he flipped through the toddler flashcards!we also just celebrated his 1 and a half year birthday and my big 30th birthday! on the cake we had 3 candles for me and one for hatcher. he had a great time opening his presents and i got a CUTE auburn polka dot apron, some dvd sermons i had wanted, and some digital scrapbook gift certificates/money! perfect presents! that fun party was actually the day before my birthday and we celebrated with my parents. on the next day, sunday, ben, hatcher, and I had a great birthday breakfast at panera (i LOVE the cinnamon crunch bagel with a big mug of yummy hot chocolate!), then we went to sunday school (where my class sang happy birthday to me), and then to the worship service where we did the Lord's supper which was totally awesome to really focus on the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for us! after church we went to salsaritas and I ate up some steak nachos with hot salsa and jalapenos...yum! i'm sure the little one inside me enjoyed it too :) ben and i had a great prayer time together before he headed back to georgia and i headed home to put hatcher down for a nap. such a good birthday! here are a few random pictures to end on...hatcher having some fun in the bathtub... and our cute little guy outside the children's museum a few weeks ago. thanks for stopping by!!
