What have we been up to lately? it seems as though we have been so busy...there has been a little bit of traveling and just alot of life happening around our place here in GA. As far as traveling, at the beginning of may we headed down to FL to spend a week with Ben's parents and go to Disney World. We had a great time, especially at their house swimming in their pool. Hatcher loved the pool and really had a great time. It was a great place to get him ready for swimming lessons that he is in now. He went to swimming lessons all last week and has another week of them coming up. He has done well, but he doesn't like going under water. He tells me that water goes up his nose. :( So, hopefully we can work on blowing air out his nose while he goes under, but nonetheless, he is doing really well! On another weekend, we headed to Auburn to go to a friend's wedding. We stayed with our wonderful friends, the Whites, and their 4 kids were all amazing with our two kiddos! Hatcher loved them all and asked to go back to see them!
Around the homefront, we went to the city festival at the beginning of May. Hatcher got to play a little bit of mini-golf, which he really enjoyed. He also liked seeing the power company's bucket truck and he liked exploring a firetruck.
Elsie has been up to some fun stuff over this month too. She still enjoys her jumper alot. Hatcher is still the one who can bring out the best smiles in her. Here she is so cute in her little sunglasses! She has cut 4 teeth so far; 2 on the bottom and 2 on the top. She cut her top ones right around her 7 month birthday. She has also been working on getting mobile. She has been right at the verge of crawling for quite a few weeks now, but she has now figured it out and is on the go! She is into everything!! She is a VERY determined little girl and when she sees something, she is going to get it! Today I watched her crawl in the bathroom and go after the toilet paper. She is so funny just exploring everything. In other news, we got Hatcher a twin bed (it is really the top bunk of bunkbeds, so it is just perfect with the rails on it) and he is loving the freedom! He was a big helper when we were building it! The first thing he wanted to do after we put sheets on it was load it up with toys and books! He does really well staying in it when we put him down for naps and at bedtime. He does love to come and find us when he wakes up and it is a little weird just all the sudden seeing him appear after a nap. We are trying to teach him to stay in his room until we come and get him so he doesn't wake anyone else up, but he does try to be really quiet when he comes out! And finally, Hatcher and Elsie have gotten to take a bath together the last two nights and they have LOVED it! They both splash and splash and splash and Elsie laughs and claps the whole time too! It is so fun! This is a terrible picture but I just thought it was cute of Elsie clapping and Hatcher splashing (and you can see how wet I am too!) Thanks for stopping by!
